This past weekend, September 15, 2012 GirlKIND presented the much anticipated documentary by Shadowline Films "It's A Girl," which explores the many faces of gendercide. The event took place in Abbotsford, BC at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. The evening included performances by "Saint Soldier," with "Sukhraj," as well as spoken word artist "Kaurageous One."
.Followed by Guest Speakers, which included: Satwinder Bains, Vicky Dhaliwal, Anoop Dhaliwal & myself Deesh Sekhon. The evening was informative yet inspiring emceed by Omni News is very own, Tarannum Thind. Many tears were shed throughout the evening, the performances were outstanding and the stories throughout the film left many feeling "numb." The film received great reviews from the audience members many left feeling inspired to do something to save our girls.
