It's A Girl Film Screening {UFV}

"Watch, learn & act." Those words were reiterated by Dr. Rosetta Khalideen, the Dean of Professional Studies at the University of the Fraser Valley last night right before the film screening of It's a Girl last night Nov 19, 2012

A BIG thank you to Sharn from the CICS dept. for organizing and planning this event, much work and effort on her part, greatly appreciate it all he efforts. Lastly, thank you to UFV for having this film brought to their students and supporting this message.

A community is only as strong as it's individuals and Abbotsford is certainly a very strong community.

Diwali Greetings

As many celebrate Diwali today we would like to shed some light on all things GirlKind Stop by The Sahib Kalgidhar Darbar Temple today at 30640 Blueridge Dr. in Abbotsford from 4pm-8pm.

The UN has declared Nov 10, 2012 as Malala Day. A day to stand up for every girl's education. 32 million girls globally are denied basic freedom to learn every day. Stand with Malala because every girl deserves an education.

Bake Sale at ATSS

Cupcakes, cake pops, macaroons, cookies were amoung some of the delectables at today's Bake Sale. So grateful to all the dedicated students at ATSS that helped put this "Bake Sale" on to help create awareness on the issue of gendercide & gender discrimination.

Many thanks to all the teachers, principals and students that came out and showed their support, together we can create a better world where EVERY GIRL MATTERS.
